Torts and Damages | Human Relations Recit Ver: On January 21, 1991, Editha was confined at the Sorsogon Provincial Hospital. Her daughter Grace sent a telegram via Radio Communications of the Philippines, Inc. to her sister Zenaida in Quezon City requesting financial help, paying a fee of P10.50. The telegram was delivered to Zenaida 25 days later, on February 15, 1991. RCPI explained the delay was caused by radio noise, interference, and difficulty locating the address. After three days without a response, Grace sent a letter via JRS Delivery Service reprimanding Zenaida for not sending financial aid. Zenaida claimed she never received the telegram until much later. Upon receiving a reprimanding letter from Grace, Zenaida and her husband traveled to Sorsogon on January 26, 1991, and subsequently brought Editha to Veterans Memorial Hospital in Quezon City.
